I took one of my good friend's here for her birthday lunch. We got the all you can eat special for two. I also had my 1 year old with us. The ambiance was chill, and the resturant had any tv's, like a sports bar. The food was fresh and came out in a timely manner. The different sauce options were nice. We loved the fried options.. fried clam strips and fried shrimp were soo good! The blue crabs and crab legs were delicious too. We will definitely be back. Be mindful to only order what you know you will eat. They do charge for excess food left, and if you want to take it home.. they charge by the pound.
Additionally, when my baby became restless and wanted to walk around there were no issues from the staff. Also, when my baby wanted to nurse, there were no crazy stares. That's a win for the mommas and babies! -

My first visit to Crazy Crab. The food wasn't horrible, but def left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was great. I was alone...I would recommend going with a group. Food is served family style, and even when there's a table of 1, large quantities are brought out. I left feeling like I wasted ALOT.
You choose 3 "starters" and 3 "entrees" for the table. Neat idea! And the price for that isn't bad.
My starters were delicious - loved the clam strips! For the entrees, I got crabs and shrimp...in garlic butter. I won't order garlic butter again. Everything was SOAKED in butter, so slippery, I could barely grip the crabs to crack them. And the meat...it didn't taste right. Not like the quality was bad, but it was overcooked, and the garlic butter overpowered the subtle sweetness of the crab meat.
If your down for a seafood (& chicken nuggets/dippers for the kids) family style meal - I'd recommend. But, if you want traditional crabs...go across the street to Captain Pell's. -

Come during their lunch special, only M-F, 12PM-3PM, where you can get all-you-can-eat (sans crab legs), for $30!
That's right, $30 for AYCE shrimp, Maryland blue crabs, stone crab, mussels (black ones are way better than the green), and many other goodies. I honestly don't think the normal price of $50 is worth it so find a way to make it here during the week for an amazing seafood experience at a decent price! I recommend against the sweet potato fries (could taste the frozenness or just wasn't cooked well enough) and the green mussels (the black ones just taste way better).
You can order up to 3 appetizers and 3 seafood items at once. The seafood comes all on one tray and has to be cooked in the same flavor/spiciness level. They're pretty clear about their policy about wasting food but even without that, just don't be a jerk face food waster.
I'm a fan. -

This was our second visit here and it didn't go much better than the first visit. Our first time here was shortly after they opened. One waitress was trying to cover 10 tables. The tables all around us were filthy with leftover food and trash all over them.
Yesterday as we were driving by we decided to give it a second try. When we entered the host asked us if we were doing all you can eat or ordering from the menu. Apparently where you sit is dependent upon your answer as to whether you'll be having all you can eat!
Our waitress was prompt and courteous but when we tried asking about recommendations, she advised that she does not eat any seafood so she couldn't help! Seriously? That would be like me, a non-meat eater working at a steakhouse. We ordered hush puppies as an appetizer and just like the first time here..they were brought out with the meal instead of as an actual appetizer. I guess the people here don't understand the concept of an appetizer. That means it comes out before the meal does! Just a note, we specifically asked her to bring them out before our meal.
I was going to order calamari but upon looking at the pictures on yelp, I decided against it. None of the photos make their calamari look appetizing. My husband and I both settled on fried shrimp. Their menu can claim everything is served fresh. I can guarantee you that is frozen shrimp that was breaded before it even got to their location. Definitely not fresh shrimp! The owner or manager can get on Yelp and argue with me all he likes. I used to work at a well-known, high-class seafood restaurant. I know the difference between frozen and fresh shrimp. Their breaded fried shrimp is 100% FROZEN.
We could've gotten better quality shrimp had we gone down the street another mile and gone to Red Lobster.
We won't be back. -

I've gone to this at Grand Opening, and then a couple times after, with the latest being today for the Father's Day Weekend rush.
They staffed enough servers and the wait system via text message status is setup really well.
$46.95 per person for dinner can be steep for some but Capt Pell across the street is similar.
For this one, it's a view Cajun Broil like Chasin Tail or Hot&Juicy but AYCE.
The sauces aren't as flavorful, but still very good
+Crab Legs is great and easy to eat
+Shrimp and Scallops are good size
+Mussels are good
All the side fried items too delicious but easy to fill your belly which isn't a smart move!
+Fried Crab Balls Delicious
+Fried Mozzarellas Delicious
+Fried Shrimp Delicious
The only negative is that the sauce isn't as good as other places and the blue crab&Dungeness options aren't that good.
They only let you order 3 seafood choices at a time so copse accordingly.
